The world is a funny place. Scary to others, but there is an undeniable irony on Earth that can be seen miles away. How is it that some people have as much money as entire countries? How is it that wealth is distributed so unequally in our world? And what needs to be done?

People of race, diversity, and culture all can understand the feeling of inequality at least one time in their life or another. An unequal society is also an unproductive society. In an article by Thomas Grennes and Andris Strazds for EconoMonitor, they say “Changes in inequality of results are difficult to interpret without knowing their source. However, inequality of opportunity is a legitimate economic problem, and reducing it can raise total income and decrease unequal results.” They pitch the idea that a more even playing ground would result in less of a divide between the rich and poor. To achieve this level ground of equality would to get rid of policies around the world that ban people from schooling because of sex, race, and religion. Even radical groups in Afghanistan use violence to keep the girls from seeking an education. Without these fundamentals of education it is impossible for an equality in wages when countries governments are completely fine with their own suffering.
From funding to altruism, something needs to be done to ensure equal education not just for the nation, but for the entire world and yes, I know how ridiculous that may sound; however, I think it would be the right choice by nations everywhere. Education is key for development in a child and without education a child does not have the opportunity to achieve equal wages as everyone else.
