How our Decisions Affect our Happiness
I am interested in this topic because I believe every decision a human makes is them trying to make themselves happier. I want to find out how we make these decisions and how we believe they benefit us. This might help me make my own decisions in the future.
Everything a person does is to make them happier. A student will study hard to get into a good college, to get a well paying job, in order to achieve financial freedom or to buy the newest products. All of this leads to increased happiness.
It is reasonable to assume that everybody wants to be happy. And, although most people take the path mentioned earlier (college) to obtain money and happiness, not everybody does. Are there other, possibly more effective ways to become happy besides earning lots of money?

Hypothesis: People always make decisions in their best interests and to make them the happiest.
Questions:
- Do people ever make decisions that they know will make them unhappy?
- Do people make decisions subconsciously?
- Do people prioritize short term or long term happiness?
- What is the “key” to euphoria?
- Is money necessary for happiness?
- How important is financial freedom to happiness?
