Group Member 1: Gianna
Topic: What has made female leaders in the patriarchal work world successful?
Hypothesis: Female leaders that have been successful possess confidence in their abilities, or have adopted stereotypically “male” traits.

Group Member 2: Payton
Topic: What is holding women back from pursuing higher careers?
Hypothesis: Mainstream media discourages girls from pursuing higher education and powerful positions.

Group Member 3: Abbey
Topic: Why are females in the workforce faced with inequality?
Hypothesis: Women have made great strides in the workplace, yet still continue to battle inequality.  This could be due to a lack of education or the caregiving responsibilities that women are stereotypically compelled to face.

Group Member 4: Emily
Topic: What makes employers choose male workers over female workers with the same expertise?  Why do women get paid less to do the same job?

Hypothesis: It is said that many employers would pick the name “John” over “Jenny” on the exact same resume. Perhaps this is due to the factor of women taking a potential maternity leave or missing work to take care of domestic responsibilities.  The stereotypical assumption that women are overly-emotional may play into this as well.
