Can taxes bring back the US economy?

My groups overall research question: What type of policy should the government impose to help the economy grow the most? Corporate titans are cheating The United States out of billions of dollars by receiving tax breaks, and stationing their huge company outside the USA so they can avoid taxes. I believe if we could somehow limit these large corporations from leaving the country and stop giving them tax breaks, then our economy would bounce back and jobs would return.

Why I'm Interested: I’m interested in this topic for a number of reasons. The main reason I’m interested in this is because if the corporations come back and have to pay taxes then the United States economy might grow more. Another reason why is because it’s unfair to the American taxpayer to pay all of these taxes while billion dollar companies don’t have too. The last reason this topic is important to me, is because I feel that American companies giving jobs to citizens in foreign countries, while citizens in the United States struggle to make ends meet is morally and economically wrong.

2 What percentage of American owned corporations are stationed outside the United States?

3 How much do American corporations that are stationed outside the United States pay their workers?           

       4 What Laws allow the foreign stationing of an American company, and what are the requirements?
