Don't Worry, Be Happy
“How can I be happy?” This question is thought about day in, and day out in the minds of our society. People think objects and things will make them happy, when in reality, they help, but they are not the only thing that can make someone happy. Being happy in the eyes of a teenager is more difficult than adults due to the high stress environment of our high schools. High school generally affects mental health in teenagers negatively, therefore making it more difficult for the teens to be happy with themselves and find who they are.
I am passionate about learning how the mind works and learning how high schools affects the way we think of ourselves. Being a teenager in the middle of my high school career, I can personally relate to the struggles of finding who we are in a society that wants everything but.
Questions I hope to answer:
- What factors of high school affect the way we think of ourselves the most?
- More common in males or females?
- Mental illnesses we are unaware of as a school?
- How does technology in school affect our thinking?
- Is there still bullying? Indirect bullying?
